Description: The Society of Actuaries (SOA) Research Institute, LIMRA, Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) and TAI recently released an update to the U.S. Individual Life COVID-19 report series. This report is the third public release from this collaboration and contains the results of an excess mortality analysis for the four quarter of 2020. Data from 31 companies representing approximately 72% of the industry’s face amount inforce have been included in the analyses in this report. A total of 2.9 million death claims from individual life policies from 2015 through December 31, 2020 make up the basis of the analyses.

Description: This report, from the Society of Actuaries [SOA] ‘Experience Studies – Group Life,’ was prepared by the SOA Group Life Insurance Experience Committee. Data were solicited from insurers regarding group term life insurance policies in force anytime during the study period of 1999 to 2001. In addition to the report, this study includes two Excel pivot tables – one for Life & Waiver, the other for Accidental Death & Dismemberment, which will enable companies to perform their own analysis to supplement the findings of this report. Also included is a six page document of life data requirements.

(Milliman) to conduct a survey on the impact of COVID-19 on Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance mortality, voluntary lapse, and morbidity experience. The results of this survey, which was conducted from November 2020 through January 2021, are presented in this report.
